The premium British supercar manufacturer McLaren is finally all set to make its official debut in the Indian car market. Although the company had a very limited presence in the country via imports, McLaren Automotive is now all geared up to be officially present in the Indian car market in partnership with Infinity Cars.
As per reports from Team-BHP, Infinity Cars would serve as the official dealer partner and after-sales support for McLaren in India with its first showroom in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Interestingly, the configurator on the official website of McLaren has started showing India as a region, which was not present till recent times. This gives an opportunity to the Indian customers to submit their booking details online to the dealer who would in turn forward the order to the McLaren Production Centre in Woking, UK. A recent post from the Instagram profile of the founder of Madras Exotic Car Club and owner of multiple supercars Mr. Manoj Lulla states that McLaren will enter the Indian car market with prices to be announced real soon.
McLaren as a brand does not need any separate introduction and is pretty well known throughout as one of the iconic supercar manufacturers with a portfolio of GT, Super, Sports, and Ultimate series. McLaren’s official entry into the Indian car market would be marked with four models for the time being- the GT, Artura, 720S, and 720S Spider.

The entry point to the McLaren India line-up would be the McLaren GT- a softer, more comfortable, mid-engined, road-focused supercar in comparison to the brand’s track-based performance line-up. The heart of the McLaren GT consists of a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 620hp and 630Nm of torque mated to a 7-speed DCT. With a top speed of 326kmph, the GT touches the 0-100 mark in just 3.2-seconds and throws a competition to the Porsche 911, Bentley Continental GT, and Ferrari Roma.
