Recently, Kolkata had its biggest Auto Expo on the ground floor of South City Mall. The expo also saw the advent of the French company, Citroen, debuting their new SUV, the C5 AIRCROSS. Slated to arrive in showrooms in April 2021, the C5 AIRCROSS will come in two trims: Feel and Shine. It will compete in the premium mid-size SUV segment which includes the likes of, the Volkswagen T-Roc, Jeep Compass, and the upcoming Skoda Kushaq. The C5 will get a 2.0-liter inline-4 diesel engine only, which will produce 177 PS and 400 Nm of torque, mated to an 8-speed torque converter. Prices have not been officially confirmed as of yet, but pundits are guessing that the C5 AIRCROSS will cost anything between INR 28.00 lacs to INR 30.00 lacs. But this was just a sideshow. After all, you can’t have an AutoExpo without a sportscar, right?
And in this case, it was a 2018 Porsche Cayman S, shining in its Racing Yellow which was bought in by M.S Motors India. They also bought the Harley Davidson FatBoy and Mini Cooper S. This array of second-hand vehicles on display indicates the rich collection of exclusive luxury models that are available at a reasonable price tag.
New luxury cars were also in abundance, with German luxury carmaker Audi showcasing the new 2021 facelifted A4. Jeep had the new facelifted Compass, along with the new Honda City, Toyota Urban Cruiser, and the Nissan Magnite.

2021 Jeep Compass
The new facelifted Jeep Compass gets a thorough revamped interior, and it feels much more premium in this new avatar. The new Techno Metallic Green colour has been the most preferred choice as per Jeeps sales guys. There are both diesel and petrol engine options, attached to a 6-speed manual, 9 Speed Automatic and 7 DDCT unit. Prices start from Rs 16.99 lacs and can go all the way up to 24 lacs.
2021 Audi A4
The Audi A4 comes in two trims - 40 TFSI Premium Plus and 40 TFSI Technology. Under the hood of both the trims, there’s a 2.0-litre Inline-4 TFSI engine that produces 190 hp and 320 Nm of torque, and it comes attached to 7-Speed S Tronic automatic transmission system. There’s a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment screen, that supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Prices for the Audi 40 TFSI Technology trim starts from Rs. 52, 68, 108, while for the PremiumPlus trim it starts from Rs 47.91 Lakh.
2021 Kia Carnival
The new 2021 Kia Carnival was the most luxurious MPV vehicle in the lot. Its prices start from Rs 24 lakhs, and it gets all the premium features that one would seek from the bigger-than Innova model. From leather seats to a large infotainment screen, the Kia Carnival is truly a family affair.
2021 Hyundai i20
The most-loved Hyundai hatchback laid in silently beside, the Maruti-Suzuki Ignis. Wrapped red in colour the Astra trim was parked in the arena, for which prices start from Rs 8 lacs onwards and it gets a 6-Speed manual transmission.
