Founded in the year 1903, the American motorcycle giant Harley Davidson is very popular throughout the world for its cruiser motorcycles. The company is well noted for its traditional styling and design language and marketed heavyweight, air-cooled cruiser motorcycles with an engine displacement greater than 700cc. With Harley’s legacy of big-size cruiser motorcycles, the company is planning to enter into the entry-level smaller displacement segment thus widening its market and also adding up to its Sportster family introduced in 1957.
HARLEY'S ENTRY TO THE 300cc SEGMENT
Harley Davidson has made it clear about its plans to enter the 300cc motorcycle segment. This was pretty evident when Harley Davidson showcased sketches of the Parallel-Twin 338R. However, it is pretty evident from the leaked images that the Parallel-Twin 338R would be replaced by a smaller V-Twin.
Harley Davidson went into a partnership with Quinjiang (Benelli’s parent company) for the production of the new bike. Although there is no official revelation about the new bike, Quinjiang has revealed some images as a teaser that says the bike is known as SRV 300.
